כִּי אָנֹכִי יָדַעְתִּי אֶת-הַמַּחֲשָׁבֹת, אֲשֶׁר אָנֹכִי חֹשֵׁב עֲלֵיכֶם--נְאֻם-יְהוָה: מַחְשְׁבוֹת שָׁלוֹם וְלֹא לְרָעָה, לָתֵת לָכֶם אַחֲרִית וְתִקְוָה.
kee ahnoCHEE yaDA'tee et ha machashaVOT aSHER anoCHEE choSEV aleyCHem-- n'oom HaShem: mach'sheVOT shaLOM v'lo l'raAH, laTET laCHEM ahchaREET v'keeqVAH.
for I know = כִּי אָנֹכִי יָדַעְתִּי
the thoughts which I plan for you (plural you form) =אֶת-הַמַּחֲשָׁבֹת, אֲשֶׁר אָנֹכִי חֹשֵׁב עֲלֵיכֶם
thoughts of peace = מַחְשְׁבוֹת שָׁלוֹם
and not evil = וְלֹא לְרָעָה
to give to you (plural you form again) לָתֵת לָכֶם
אַחֲרִית = usually translated end, but also means "until the end" "posterity" "a future" "expected end"
וְתִקְוָה = and hope
The shoresh which appears in this verse three times is: חָשַׁב chaSHAV= which is translated "think" but has a deeper sense, also translated: "plan", "skilled workmanship", "consider", "calculate", "devise", "intend", "purpose" "reckon"...all more than just thinking about us!
HaShem has a detailed, thought-out, meaningful plan which he has devised and carefully considered for us all.
Have a great day!
